Wine Institute’s California Wine Export Program will conclude its “Behind the Wines” webinar series with “The Harvest Sessions,” a unique trio of episodes, moderated by host Elaine Chukan Brown, to give a behind the scenes look at the 2020 vintage across the Golden State. In part two of the Harvest Sessions, Elaine will sit down with sparkling wine producers producers, Scott Caraccioli of Caraccioli Cellars in Monterey County and Michael Cruse of Cruse Wine Co. in the North Coast. The two will bring different perspectives on approaches to sparkling wine production: a family-owned, traditional method sparkling wine house sourcing fruit exclusively from the cool Santa Lucia Highlands and a more contemporary operation that produces traditional method sparkling and Pét-Nat from atypical varieties such as Valdiguié and St. Laurent, sourced from all over the North Coast.
