“The Winemaker Sessions”: Perspectives on Vintage 2020 from Across the State


“Behind the Wines” Concludes with Star-Studded Cast of California Wine Producers 

SAN FRANCISCO – Wine Institute’s California Wine Export Program will present the final episode of the “Behind the Wines” series on Tuesday, Nov. 17, featuring a lineup of some of the state’s most internationally recognized vintners and winegrowers from across the state providing a recap of the 2020 harvest. “The Winemaker Sessions” will welcome return guests from the “Behind the Wines” series, along with new faces from renowned California wine regions, to taste and discuss one another’s wines and share stories about trends, challenges and opportunities in 2020. The finale follows “The Harvest Sessions,” a trio of episodes focused on this year’s vintage and concludes the 2020 season of “Behind the Wines” with 30 episodes and more than 50 guests. The series has been creating dynamic conversations with California winemakers and winegrowers, as well as leading authorities in wine media, education, hospitality and science from around the world to gain a greater understanding of California and global market perceptions of the state’s wines. "The Winemaker Sessions” finale will be led by webinar host Elaine Chukan Brown and be an extended episode consisting of five segments, each running 20-25 minutes.
