Details: Our journey began making vins d’effort, pleasing and harmonious, with a certain intellectual frisson. Yet these wines were but steps along our evolutionary path pointed in the direction of vins de terroir - wines whose qualities transcend the winemaker’s complete control. Such wines harness the the intelligence of nature, creating complexity and order virtually unimaginable to our finite human sensibility. We are terroir-seekers bringing us through the territory of wines of life force. We hope with time and thoughtful intention, the vitality already present in the wine will offer an even more distinct reflection of the expression of place.
