Details: Join Flying Goat in a celebration of "Down to Earth" Month throughout April and especially on April 20th. Down to Earth is the annual CA Wine Institute campaign that "highlights California’s commitment to sustainable viticulture and winemaking through environmental stewardship, economic impact, social equity and community engagement." Kate recently received the CA Sustainable Winegrowing Ambassador Course Certificate and she looks forward to sharing her new knowledge and best practices with you over wine and snacks. All ages are welcome to the celebration. "Planet vs Plastics" is the theme of Earth Day this year and we’ll be sharing some of our efforts toward that goal. We source from regenerative & sustainable vineyards and have sustainable practices in the cellar and tasting room. We also practice backyard beekeeping, drought tolerant gardening and vermiculture on the home front. The Lompoc Valley Beekeepers Association demonstration hive will be there to delight children of all ages.
