Picture Malibu, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, and this is exactly what you see: blue skies, surf, sunshine—maybe even a movie star or two. The stars of southern California wine share the blue skies and sunshine of our famous beaches, but the lifestyle is more serene, with quiet vineyards tucked into rolling valleys and foothills. Picture this: one San Diego vineyard grows their Cabernet Sauvignon at 1,300 meters (4,400 feet) above sea level, the highest vineyard elevation in California.

Details: The LAWineFest brings wines and brews from around the world to your doorstep in a fun, relaxed environment. (Yes, we’re the WineFest. But turns out even wine lovers need a break to sip something else new and noteworthy too.) The Fest also serves up boutiques to browse, gourmet nibbles and artisan merchandise for sale, and a chill vibe. This year we are returning to Long Beach. The 16th Annual Fest combines tastes of wines from California and around the Globe. The ‘Celebration of All Things Wine’ offers tastes from dozens of wineries, numerous craft breweries, plus artisan boutiques, gourmet food trucks for purchase and live music each day. There are also two special Boutique Winery gardens that offer tastings from boutique wineries producing under 2,500 cases of wine per year (separate ticket).
