Nestled in the eastern-most foothills of the east-to-west transverse valley of the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA, Crown Point is uniquely positioned with distinct climatic conditions and soil types that provide an ideal growing environment for Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec. Roger Bower is the owner and visionary behind Crown Point. “I knew I wanted to make wine here, Cabernet Sauvignon in particular, and began to research the geography and climate of the area. I was lucky to discover Crown Point. It was a hidden gem with all the makings of an incredible vineyard site”. Roger is joined in this pursuit of excellence by the renowned winemaking team of Philippe Melka and Simon Faury, along with 20 years of vineyard expertise from Juve Buenrostro.
