The 4,300-acre estate has 50 acres planted to vines, with the bulk of the ranch dedicated to a nature preserve. A 2-mile drive into the property meanders along an old stagecoach route bringing you to the tasting room. Proprietors Kaj and Else Ahlmann named their business Six Sigma because they combine the old-world art of making wine with the science of data-driven Six Sigma principles, resulting in a process that ensures consistently high quality wines.
