Pioneer Livermore winemakers C. H. Wente and James Concannon planted their vineyards in the early 1880s, having recognized the area’s winegrowing potential. Their descendants have maintained the tradition: today both wineries continue to thrive. Visit www.lvwine.org →

Details: The year is coming to an end soon, and it's been WAY too long since we've had a Winemaker Dinner! This year marks the 90th Anniversary of Prohibition ending, which is always worth celebrating, and just so happens to offer an amazing excuse & theme! In honor of the 21st Amendment, we are hosting a Winemaker Dinner at Purple Orchid on Thursday, December 1st, at 6:30pm. We'll toast the delights of vino with a special 4-course paired meal with our wines. While in no way required, we highly encourage pulling together a 1930's inspired outfit (Jessie and Jess are already shopping to find theirs and John thinks he has the perfect suit)!
