Details: We purchased the historic Beringer State Lane vineyard property in 2000, first leased by Beringer in 1972 for their Estate Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon program. Recognizing the potential of the site, Beringer began bottling the State Lane Cabernet Sauvignon as a single vineyard designated wine. In 2001, the vineyard was replanted with 15 blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot with close vine spacing. A new state of the art winemaking facility was completed in 2005. The vineyard is farmed by Pina Vineyard Management Company, renown Napa Valley vineyard managers.
