Chocolate Board
Yes, we said chocolate board. There is no real right or wrong way to make a chocolate board. Plan to have around 2 to 4 oz of chocolate per guest. As well as a variety of fresh and dried fruits, nuts, and dips. When it comes to the chocolate selection it is nice to provide a nice variety to choose from. To start, we recommend using a nice 70 % dark chocolate, a lighter milk chocolate, and a white chocolate. Enjoy this board for Valentine’s Day or any special occasion!
Pairs With
Ingredients
- 2 to 4 different fresh fruits like strawberries, grapefruit, mandarins, clementine, pears, or oranges
- 2 to 3 different dips or spreads, like caramel, whipped cream, peanut butter, honey, marmalade, or jam
- 1 to 3 different dried nuts like almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts, coconut, sesame seeds or cashews
- 1 to 3 different dried fruits such as apricots, dates, figs, oranges, or peaches
- 1 to 2 different fresh herbs like mint, spearmint, or peppermint
- Optional add on: store-bought brownies
Instructions
- Start by breaking up the chocolate so that it will be easier for your guest to handle. Once you have it broken up, arrange the chocolate around the board keeping them separate from each other. Place the dip selections on the board spreading them out. Next place the fresh and dried fruit in between the different chocolate and dip selections. Once you’re happy with the placements, place the dried nuts around the board, ether sprinkle them around or in little bowls. Your choice. To finish off your beautiful chocolate board, place a few sprigs of your herb selection around the board.
