The Sonoma Spritz

Written by: Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers Alliance

The Sonoma Spritz shows off what can be done with a bit of rosé, some fig syrup and some bubbly soda water. This twist on the Spritz uses local Sonoma Valley ingredients. This light, vibrant cocktail captures the essence of wine country in a single glass, showcasing local rosé, the rich sweetness of fig and a citrusy sparkle that feels just right for summer sipping.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. fig preserve or caramelized fig syrup (we love the version by Liber & Co.)
  • ¾ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz simple syrup
  • 3 oz Sonoma Valley rosé wine
  • 2 oz soda water
  • Fresh rosemary sprig, for garnish

Instructions

In a shaker, combine the fig preserve (or syrup), lemon juice and simple syrup.

Shake well, then strain into a glass filled with ice.

Top with Sonoma Valley rosé and soda water.

Stir gently to combine and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary.
